Eggstravagaza Fete is a shining success!
REGIONAL Bridgend Adoption Centre
10 April 2017
The event, held on 8 April at the centre was a great success, with more than 350 people attending the fun filled day. The Easter Egg Hunt and hook-a-duck were a big hit with the children, whilst adults enjoyed browsing the stalls and relaxing in the sun enjoying their burgers, homemade cakes and refreshments.
The Eggstravaganza was a great opportunity for people to meet and make friends with the adorable cats in the charity’s care desperately in need of loving homes. Mrs Audrey Inkpen, 96 years old who used to volunteer for the centre and is a long standing supporter said: “The centre is my favourite place to visit, I love coming here on open days and seeing all the cats”.
Bethan Potts, Deputy Manager who organised the event said: “We had great support on the day so we’d like to thank everyone who came along and supported us. If we didn’t receive such wonderful support from our local community, so many more cats would needlessly remain homeless.”
Susan Dobbs, Centre Manager said; “We had lots of lovely feedback from visitors to the event, its great so see everyone enjoying themselves. We are very grateful of the support we receive from the public and local businesses, the day wouldn’t be a success without their contribution.
Cats Protection’s Bridgend is part of a national network of over 250 volunteer-run branches and 32 centres that together help around 200,000 cats and kittens each year. The charity’s vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs.
